Overview

Atlantis The Palm Dubai is scheduled to open in 2008.

The design of Atlantis, The Palm will be based on the myth of Atlantis and will maintain similar elements of the epic design of the Royal Towers of Atlantis, Paradise island & incorporating flavor of Arabic design themes.

The Atlantis Palms Dubai has 1539 planned rooms. The West tower will consist of 663 rooms and the East Tower will consist of 876 rooms.

Spa - Extensive Health Spa & beauty Salon on two floors of the resort.

Conferencing Facilities - Atlantis the Palm will deliver a state of the art 45000 conference center wing with a total of 45000 square feet of function space, a main ball room, a breakout room, board rooms, majlis, a pre-function meeting area and a dedicated entrance.

The Atlantis The Palm, Dubai is a joint venture with Istithmar PSJC, which is wholly-owned by the Government of Dubai.


Activities and Entertainment

  • A 50-acre waterscape will be the "largest water-themed attraction in the region"
  • A “Ziggurat” Temple will have eight waterslides including a body slide through an acrylic tunnel in a shark lagoon. (This concept is already a winner at the Paradise Island resort.)
  • The largest water feature at Atlantis, The Palm will be the 2.8-million gallon Ambassador Lagoon, home to manta rays and whale sharks.
  • A river ride system surrounding the temple will wind for two kilometers; along the way will be some stretches of white-water.
  • The Atlantis The Palm waterscape will accommodate 6,000 daily visitors.
  • The Dig will be also be part of the scene at Atlantis Dubai, as it is in the Bahamas. Once again the mythical city of Atlantis will be (re)created; this Dig will have 20 fresh and sea water exhibits.
  • Extensive Entertainment Village with 80,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The village will offer boutique & Souvenir shops, 4 speciality restaurants including the world renowned Nobu and a nightclub.
  • Through a partnership with Discovery Channel, Atlantis will provide day & evening programs for children aged 3 - 10 with activities that offer sports & entertainment. Teenagers will have their own Rush Club.
